A QI focus on recalls and reminders

Effective recall and reminder systems are an important part of safe, proactive and preventive care in general practice.

This webinar will explore how quality improvement can help practice teams review and strengthen these systems to support effective patient follow-up.

The session will consider the RACGP Standards for general practices (6th edition), practice policies, team responsibilities, and demonstrate how the WAPHA Recall and Reminder Quality Improvement Toolkit can support practices to map existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement and embed sustainable change.

Using the practical example of the Medicare Healthy Kids Check for three-year-old children, we will demonstrate how teams can identify eligible patients, plan appropriate care and communication, measure outcomes and apply the PDSA cycle to test and refine improvements.
