Nurse Practitioner Pilot

WA Primary Health Alliance will be coordinating an expression of interest (EOI) inviting general practices and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services to apply to secure a nurse practitioner to work in the primary care setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Nurse Practitioner and Team-Based Primary Care Pilot (the Nurse Practitioner Pilot) aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of comprehensive primary care to the WA community in areas of high need.

About 20 nurse practitioners will be available for placement across the State.

The Pilot has been co-developed in partnership with the WA Department of Health and the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

WA Primary Health Alliance has sent an Expression of Interest to practices via their WA Primary Health Alliance contact. This clearly states the aims of the program to provide access to health care for vulnerable populations and communities in areas of need where a nurse practitioner is available. Applications will be highly competitive for the nurse practitioners and practices are encouraged to ensure they meet all criteria before applying.

Expressions of Interest close 2pm Monday, 21 August.
