Sexual Health Update - Spotlight on syphilis

This webinar will provide Western Australian health professionals with the information and tools required to improve syphilis screening and care for at-risk and key affected populations. The update will use clinical vignettes to illustrate the implications of the infectious syphilis outbreak in WA on health professionals’ practice.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify at-risk populations to screen or test for syphilis.
  2. Explain the clinical stages of syphilis and identify clinical symptoms.
  3. Determine the role of partner notification and contact tracing in managing the public health risk of syphilis.
