Immunisation and Cancer Screening Preventative Health Forum (Perth South)

Join us for the Immunisation and Cancer Screening Preventative Health Forum (Perth South) on Wednesday 26 November.

This in-person event is designed to support practice nurses with understanding the National Immunisation Program (NIP), administering vaccinations and increasing cancer screening rates.

The forum will cover the following topics:

• The importance of the different vaccines – why and when they should be administered.
• Cultural safety during immunisation appointments.
• Cold chain management – from receiving vaccines in the practice to administering and recording in the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
• The Western Australian Vaccine Safety Surveillance (WAVSS) System – what and where to report.
• Updates about the four national cancer screening programs – breast, bowel, cervical and lung.
• The National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR) and how integrating it into eligible software can assist clinicians.
