SMHS GP engage: Peel Health Campus – what's new, and what's business as usual
The South Metro Health Service’s (SMHS) GP Engage events provide valuable opportunities for local GPs, nurse practitioners and other primary care professionals to learn about hospital priorities, processes and programs affecting shared care.
This event is specifically designed for GPs and nurse practitioners in the Peel-Murray region.
In August 2024, the operation of Peel Health Campus transitioned from private provider Ramsay Health Care to SMHS.
This event will focus on how this transition enhanced the ability of Peel Health Campus to provide high-quality, sustainable healthcare services while maintaining it’s core values and commitments. It will highlight:
- programs that affect shared care
- the benefits of shared care plans and collaborative approaches to patient care
- what the transition means for you in terms of shared patient care
- changes and continuities in healthcare delivery, staff integration, and community engagement since the transition.
Key stakeholders, including Peel Health Campus Director of Medical Services, Dr Ryan Craig, will also share insights on the seamless integration of more than 1,000 healthcare professionals into the SMHS family.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the exciting developments and ongoing efforts to ensure excellent care for the Peel-Murray region.
Includes afternoon tea, light supper and complimentary parking. Late arrivals welcome.
