New Programs, New Challenges – Immunisation Symposium

Perth Children’s Hospital Stan Perron Immunisation Service, part of the Child and Adolescent Health Service, invites you to attend the New Programs, New Challenges – Immunisation Symposium.

In line with the World Health Organisation’s World Immunisation Week 2025, this year’s theme will focus on issues impacting community health services in supporting vaccine uptake across Western Australia.

New Programs, New Challenges will offer participants expert insights into community vaccine hesitancy and the increasing complexities of consumer needle anxiety.

Hear from Australian leaders within Immunisation including Prof Julie Leask AO, Mrs Catherine Hughes AM, Assoc Prof Zoe Bradfield and many more, on advances in immunisation for maternal health, immunisation advocacy, vaccine safety and immunisation strategies for some of our priority populations, before workshopping strategies in managing needle anxiety and the management of adverse events following immunisation.

A panel of consumers and carers will share their stories and answer some key questions about immunisation.

The event concludes with an expert panel discussing emerging trends and where they see the future of immunisation.
