GPs from practices participating in the GP Urgent Care Network Pilot are invited to attend a free, comprehensive, one-day workshop covering some of the common presentations likely to be managed in a GP urgent care appointment.

Content will cover clinical skills, an overview of the GP Urgent Care Network service model (including local partnerships, infrastructure and equipment), and provide an opportunity for feedback and review. Led by RACGP WA, the program is developed and delivered by experienced GP medical educators alongside wound specialists, ENTs, emergency department physicians, and sports physicians.

Procedural and simulation equipment will be an integral part of the workshop where participants will work in small groups for interactive learning.

The presentations covered in the workshop include:
1. Practice assessment and management of patients in the general practice urgent care setting
2. Assessment and management of wounds, including burns
3. Assessment and management of the ear, nose and eye
4. Assessment and management of musculoskeletal cases

CPD: 40 Category 1 QICPD points
