Mental Health: A discussion with Associate Professor Mat Coleman

Psychiatric Associate Professor Mat Coleman will facilitate a GP discussion on mental health treatment plans including medication, titration and a variety of referral options.

Mat will be using GP-led case studies to discuss various issues, so please bring along your case study examples for discussion.

You will also get the opportunity to meet and hear from many of our local mental health treatment services, who will be participating in the discussion.

Speakers:

  • Associate Professor Mat Coleman
    A rural psychiatrist with qualifications in addictions, child and adolescent psychiatry. He has been the clinical director of public services in the Great Southern and Midwest regions of WA and is the Rural and Remote Mental Health Practice clinical academic lead of the Rural Clinical School of WA. He is also keen medical educator and is the chair of the Section of Rural Psychiatry for the RANZCP which has been responsible for the expansion of psychiatry training in regional, rural and remote areas across Australia and New Zealand.
