Beyond the Binary: Improving Healthcare Access for LGBTQI+ Patients

LGBTQI+ individuals often encounter unique healthcare barriers that can lead to poorer health outcomes. This webinar aims to help general practice health professionals enhance their knowledge and understanding of the unique health needs of the LGBTQI+ community, enabling them to provide optimal care.

Attendees will learn about the significance of using inclusive language and culturally competent care when working with LGBTQI+ patients, as well as strategies to create a welcoming and affirming environment in their practice. The webinar will also cover strategies for identifying the factors that hinder or facilitate the participation of the LGBTQI+ community in cancer screening, as well as the services that are available to support these patients.
