WA Hepatitis C for Nurses and Midwives

This free training course provides nurses and midwives with the knowledge and confidence to increase screening and management of hepatitis C in primary care settings. 

Applicable to nurses and midwives working across varied service settings in WA, including general practice and other primary care settings, hospital settings, Correctional settings, Drug and Alcohol services, Sexual/reproductive health services and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisations. AOD counsellors, Aboriginal Health Workers, other health workers involved in hepatitis C assessment and work-up of patients are also encouraged to attend. 

Learning outcomes:

This facilitated training consists of a 3-hour interactive webinar comprising of presentations, panel discussions, case studies and group discussions.  

This activity is funded by the Western Australian Department of Health.

Endorsement and CPD: This training is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated 3 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard. Endorsement by ACM is pending.
