WA Curing Hepatitis C in Primary Care 

Join ASHM for their interactive course on HCV management in primary care. This course aims to empower participants with the skills and confidence to diagnose, assess, manage, and treat hepatitis C (HCV) in primary care.

General practitioners, nurse practitioners, other practitioners prescribing or intending to prescribe s85 direct-acting antiviral medication for HCV in primary care settings in Western Australia. Nurses involved in the assessment and work-up of patients for treatment are also encouraged to attend.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify when screening and testing for HCV is indicated
  • Interpret HCV test results
  • Discuss required pre-treatment assessments 
  • Determine which treatment, monitoring, and follow-up is required

This activity is funded by the Western Australian Department of Health.

Endorsement and CPD: This course has been approved as an RACGP CPD activity in the 2023-2025 triennium.  Approved for 1.5 hours Educational Activities and 1 hour Reviewing Performance.
