VAD practitioner training workshop - WA Rural Health Conference 2023

Regional medical practitioners and nurse practitioners who are attending the WA Rural Health Conference 2023 on 11 – 12 March are invited to attend a voluntary assisted dying (VAD) practitioner training workshop prior to the Conference.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for you to complete online training modules at your own pace, as well as meet with current VAD providers, the WA VAD Statewide Pharmacy Service and the WA VAD Statewide Care Navigator Service to hear from those with experience in this work. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The Regional Access Support Scheme (RASS) includes financial support for practitioners who provide care to regional residents to complete the WA VAD Approved Training. Eligibility criteria apply and funding is paid upon successful completion of the training. The RASS is managed by the WA VAD Statewide Care Navigator Service who can provide more information on eligibility requirements.
