WAPHA’s Wheatbelt team recently partnered with WACHS Wheatbelt Population Health to deliver an Immunisation Update Study Day for all immunisation providers in the region.

Approximately 80 people attended the event on Wednesday 21 March from all areas of the Wheatbelt from Jurien Bay in the north, Southern Cross in the east and Narrogin in the south.

Approximately 80 people attended the Immunisation Update Study Day event.

Professor Julie Leask from the University of Western Australia and University of Sydney was a guest presenter, along with presentations from WACHS, Cancer Council, Communicable Disease Control Directorate (CDC) and GlaxoSmithKline Australia Pty Ltd.

There was great collaboration among all those attended which will build stronger relationships between the immunisation providers within their own community.

A great wealth of information was shared on the day and WAPHA hopes to continue with the fantastic immunisation rates that are currently experienced in the Wheatbelt.
