What is accreditation

General practice accreditation assesses practices against the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) standards for general practice. These standards are considered the benchmark for quality care in general practice.

The benefits of completing accreditation are:

  • reduction in practice risk
  • improved practice efficiency
  • insurance providers recognition
  • access to the Practice Incentives Program (PIP).
