Primary Health Exchange is WAPHA’s online consultation hub – an online community engagement website which allows people to have their say on projects and share their thoughts on the planning and design of primary health care in WA. We recognise that engagement is an ongoing process and Primary Health Exchange provides people a platform where they can exchange ideas, opinions and experiences across primary health. The site also provides information to support the commissioning of services – such as the current Joining up the Pieces page with an information library related to current open expressions of interest.
WAPHA also uses Primary Health Exchange to host communities of practice to support networks and groups with a common interest. This is part of WAPHA’s role in improving collaboration and integration of services and helps to join up our health system.
Primary Health Exchange is designed to support and encourage people to get involved in the planning of local primary health care in WA to ensure we commission the right services in the right place.
Current topics which people can join the conversation on include stepped care approaches to alcohol and other drugs and mental health, changes in primary care for Aboriginal people and innovation in primary health.
